We are looking for individuals to deliver a new initiative to help develop the fundamentals and skill level for the Under 12 to Under 16 age group. The 2019 Ulster Cross-country (XC) Mountain Bike Championships took place at Sir Thomas and Lady Dixon Park in South Belfast on Sunday 28 July. Host club Xmtb has been running XC races at this venue since 2009 and had devised good courses for all age categories. Unfortunately the predicted weather front did arrive on the morning of the race. Ulster riders headed over to Thickthorn, Norwich for Round 5 of the HSBC UK National Cross-country series over the weekend of 29/30 June 2019. There were 4 athletes riding for Cycling Ulster: Lee and Dean Harvey, Niamh McKiverigan and Darcey Harkness.
The third and final round of the Ulster Cross-country (XC) Mountain Bike Series took place at Castlewellan Forest Park on Sunday 23 June 2019. The event doubled up as the fourth and final round of the Irish XC National Point Series (NPS). Hosted by Banbridge Cycling Club, under the direction of Race Organiser Gareth McKee, this event also doubled up as Round 3 of the Ulster XC series.
