Round 3 of the Ulster Cross-Country mountain bike series 2013 also doubled up as Round 4 of the National Point Series (NPS) which meant a large contingent of riders heading to Lady Dixon Park in Belfast. Xmtb McConvey Cycles have been busy in the weeks leading up to this event tidying up the course that was used last year and adding in some new sections. Riders and spectators were blessed again with great weather and the shorts and short sleeves were prominent. For the first time this year the sun cream had come out for a cross-country race. With the popularity of the venue and its easy location in the suburbs of Belfast there was a swelling of numbers with over 300 coming along. As in previous years there was a big showing of youth from the parental assisted Under 6s fun race right up to the Under 16s and Juniors. The seniors races also saw large numbers with a large showing of visitors from the Republic.
